One of our favorite meals of our trip. Who would have thought we’d find great seafood in the middle of the Canadian Rockies? The service was excellent, and the seafood was incredibly fresh with amazing flavors. We tried the clam pot, which we hadn’t seen before, and it was absolutely delicious—the size of the clams... wow! We only wished we had more bread to soak up the delicious broth. Highly recommend for any seafood lovers! The atmosphere was great as well! Didn’t have make a reservation however would recommend in peak season.

Jamie is a great host and the whole staff is excellent. It was an experience to eat there and his flow of serving food and drinks was great. Everything was brought out at the perfect time. The chowder was to die for and the fries and crab cakes were wicked. We will be returning for sure. Great atmosphere.....Great beer.....even better food. Go eat there....you won't regret it.

This spot puts all the seafood establishments in Calgary to shame. We came here during a short mountain excursion with the family, and we walked away immensely satisfied. It's an unassuming restaurant, located in a busy plaza, and you might glance over its exterior. But don't make that mistake, this restaurant oozes with charm and atmosphere. The vibe is decidedly relaxed, with excellent rustic, decor mixed with poppy lights and curious fixtures. The playlist they had going was an ode to great hits of the 80's and 90's mixed in with some eclectic choices. But let's cut to the chase, is the food any good? It's a loud, resounding YES. This is genuinely one of the best seafood experiences I've had in a long time. Comparatively, the seafood in Calgary is a joke. The food here rivals some of the things I've had in California. The shellfish (Mussels, Clams and Oysters) were fresh, and large. This wasn't a rare or special occurrence, every single dish that was served was spectacular; the seafood was plump, and the portions were generous. They really know how to make the seafood shine. My chowder was simply packed with large shrimp, mussels and the clams...oh my goodness, the clams were so juicy and flavourful. Pasta was spot on, noodles perfectly cooked, sauce had good flavour and an excellent balance of heat. The pot of clams was another highlight, with the white wine sauce too good not to dip bread and fries into. And the crab dip, wow. Normally one would expect a sauce with some crab meat mixed in. I did NOT expect that the sauce WAS the crab meat. There was so much crab it was amazing. Service is top notch, all the servers are just down to earth, super friendly and just genuine people. The facilities are clean and well stocked and parking, while it can get hairy, is quite plentiful, with a lot, street and underground nearby. Do not skip this place if you are looking for a fantastic time, and fantastic food. We will definitely come back again. Compliments to all the staff for treating my family with such genuine joy. I walked out of here, genuinely beaming ear to ear with satisfaction. Just amazing.

Honestly - it is hard to find great seafood in the mountains. We shared the boil and it was so good. Highly recommend. And the ownership was top notch - they checked in and made our experience so memorable! Thank you!!!

What a delightful meal. The oysters were delicious, the seafood chowder ( starter) was massive and seafood filled, and the seafood linguine was outstanding. This is a new place but has become a favourite stop as we go through Canmore. Friendly service, delicious food. Well worth the stop!!

This is my second time coming here, and it will continue to be my go-to for seafood when in town. We tried a bit of everything- oysters, lobster roll, crab dip, mussels, seafood chowder, and fish tacos. All were incredibly fresh and delicious! My fave is still the seafood chowder- it's packed full of meat! So freaking good. All dishes were amazing. We had wonderful service, zero complaints!

The Drunken Lobster is a fun restaurant to visit when in Canmore and if you love seafood! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the oysters, lobster mac & cheese, lobster roll, and seafood linguini. I think the seafood olinguini could have had more flavour and would have been great if seafood was mixed into the pasta and not just placed on top. Everything was delicious though! Definitely a family-friendly more casual environment. Our waiter needed some reminders for the things we had ordered/asked for (number of oysters, extra plates etc). Overall, a great spot and I look forward to returning and trying more things on their menu!

Stumbled across The Drunken Lobster on a weekend visit to Canmore. This is the first time in a long time that I’ve had an incredible meal out & where I have said I need to go back. I can’t wait to come back and try more! The lobster roll and beef tallow fries were phenomenal. Little pricey but once you get the food it’s 100% worth the price! Such a great hidden gem! And let’s give these guys an award for best fries in Canmore! Cause beef tallow fries are where it’s at!!!
